All safety footwear sold in South Africa must comply with SANS 20345:2023 and carry NRCS (National Regulator for Compulsory Specifications) certification. SANS 20345:2023 is aligned with ISO 20345:2021 and replaced the previous 2014 edition. Uncertified safety footwear cannot legally be sold or imported in South Africa.
S1 provides a steel toecap (200J rated) and antistatic protection. S2 adds water-resistant uppers.
